The White Pine Logging and Threshing Show has been an annual tradition for our family since I was little. I used to camp there with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. It has also been a tradition for my boys to attend every Labor Day weekend as well. This year was no exception. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins, checking out the petting zoo, and most importantly, riding tractors through the parade. Here are some of the highlights of the show:
Heading into the Show on the first day on the shuttle:
Carter riding with Gerald in the Tractor Parade:
Waving:
This is hard work!
Coming around the corner:
Carter had a long day at the tractor show. After being poked in the chin with his 'sword' and missing a nap, he was catching up on a little sleep on his Godfather, Shane's lap:
Kyle driving Grandpa's 1970 John Deere Patio Tractor:
Heading back to the Threshing Show on the second day on our shuttle:
Kyle walking around the show grounds:
Checking out the blacksmith shop:
Peeking inside to see how they make the swords (huge nails that are heated and pounded flat to look like swords):
Rows of farming equipment:
Old snowmobiles:
Carter at the petting zoo area - he loved this calf!
Getting a closer look at the pony:
Listening to the National Anthem before the Parade started:
Grandpa and Carter:
Carter waved and smiled through the entire parade (little ham!):
Carter on Gerald's tractor:
Grandpa's off as well:
