First Day of Preschool 2009

Ryan had his first day of preschool today - parent/child orientation day. He met his teacher and her helper, got acclimated to his new classroom, and saw friends from last year's class at Family of Christ. Every time I visit that school I am reminded of why I made the decision to send Ryan there - the staff. They are all wonderful and we are blessed he attends there!

White Pine Tractor Show

We attended the 31st Annual White Pine Logging and Threshing Show this weekend. I think I have been there every year since it began, so it is a tradition in my family. My boys love the tractors and playing with their cousins at the campsite. I cannot remember a year with as gorgeous of weather as we had this weekend. We couldn't have ordered any better - simply perfect! Here are a few shots of the tractors and the big parade:

Four Wheeling

There is SO much the kids enjoy doing on the farm. At the top of the list is four wheeling. Evan pulls the trailer with the kids inside, lined with carpet samples for comfort. They love it! Here they are heading out for an evening ride before dinner.

Trampoline

We brought a 14' jumping trampoline up to my parents' house to set up this weekend. We received it from Evan's boss. We didn't tell the kids about it, so their faces lit up when we were setting it up and they figured out what it was. They jumped, jumped, jumped ALL weekend, especially Carter. I even tried it out myself - I felt like a kid again - I loved it!

Bow Hunter

Evan believes in starting the hunters early...Ryan is 4 and learned how to shoot a bow this weekend. He was SO excited to land the arrows in the target. Granted, he was only about 10 feet from the target, but then again -he's four!!!!! Great job, buddy!

Bunk

This was a bunk for feeding cattle in a previous life - amazing how it looks tranformed into a flower bed, isn't it? My Mom works wonders with blank spaces!!!!

Early

Today I took the 'early' shift at home, which meant I left for work early, got out of work early, and spent more time with my boys in the evening. I stopped at home before I picked them up, changed clothes, and we went right to the park and spent over an hour before dinner. We had so much fun - I wish all of my evenings were this long!!!!!

Monkey bars are a new thing for Ryan, so he is very excited when he makes it all the way across:

When we got home, Carter raced his car. He doesn't ride it anymore, he just pushes it! :)
