Twins Game

I took Ryan, Carter, and their neighbor friend, Josh to the Twins game on Friday night, our first of the season.  It was 72* and sunny when the game started.  UNBELIEVABLE, especially considering we had a foot of snow on the ground and it was 30* at this time last weekend!

We had great seats - row 3, seats 1-4, right behind the Twins dugout.  The boys were so excited and we all had a great time!

Leaving for the game:

As we walked in, there was a large snow pile (I'm guessing that won't last long with temps in the 70s!)

Cheering during the opening lineup:

Ryan ate a full dinner here before we left and by the second inning, he was starving and needed a foot long.  I'm going to be in trouble with the grocery bill as these kids grow up!

Gorgeous view of the skyline at night from Target Field:

My climbers:

We listened to these guys play the 'drums' on 5 gallon buckets.  They were amazing.  The kids watched in awe.  When Ryan saw how much money people were leaving in the bucket for them, he decided he needs to start a bucket band.  Coming soon, to a street corner near you... :)

Instagram

Another Instagram dump.  It's amazing to me that the snow pictures were from last weekend and now this weekend, we are in the 70s with shorts and t-shirts.  Welcome spring, we are so excited to see you! :)

My pond was almost clear of snow/ice and then we got a huge snowfall last weekend:

The snow started on Thursday around noon:

The neighbor boys offered to shovel my driveway for me:

Only a few hours after the tree picture above was taken - our winter wonderland (at the end of April!)

This sidewalk had just been shoveled a few hours prior:

The boys school was cancelled on Friday, so they enjoyed playing in the snow:

I finally got my Vitamix!  So excited to eat healthier and incorporate more vegetables in my diet:

Flowers from my boss and his wife for Admin's week.  He also gave me a Visa gift card.  So generous and such a day brightener.  I truly love my job! :)

The boys and I went to the Twins game last night, and they brought a friend, Josh.  72* and sunny at the game - ahhhhh! :)

Carter's first outdoor baseball practice for the season.  GORGEOUS SUNSHINE!!!!!  Love it!

Snow Day!

The boys were ecstatic to have a snow day (their THIRD of the year) on Friday.  We spent the morning outside enjoying the fresh snowfall.  Well, enjoying might be a bit strong.  I shoveled the heaviest, wettest snow I've ever shoveled and ended up with a sore neck/shoulders for 2 days.  It is pretty in December.  I'm over it now that's it's late April and just ready for green grass, sunshine, and warm weather.  As I type, we are having another snowstorm, and we are supposed to get 5-8" inches tonight.  I feel like I'm trapped in a snow globe and can't get out!

Fresh snowfall on my shrubs:

There are 10 shrubs beside the garage.  It looks like one giant snowbank right now!
Carter was buried in the snow up to his head!

Breaking out!

Jewelry

What is the old saying? "The best laid plans of mice and men..."  I had planned to work on Mother's Day jewelry orders all day while the kids were in school last Friday.  Low and behold, we got 10" of new snow and school was cancelled.  Needless to say, I didn't get a whole lot of jewelry orders complete with the boys at home.  I worked on them over the weekend and got a few more done today.  I have 2 more left to complete, with more coming in every day...

Here is what I have complete so far:

This has been the state of my dining room table for the past 5 days.  Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever be able to eat at it again! :)
