Mackey Get Together

We headed to Biwabik this weekend for a Mackey mini family reunion.  We spent the weekend at Giant's Ridge Lodge and attended our nephew Ian's 30th birthday party and our nephew (and Evan's Godson) Evan's graduation open house.  It was a great weekend spent with family!

We had a 2 bedroom suite at the Lodge.  This was a king bed in the back bedroom (Evan and I slept in here):

Jewelry

Whew!  What a weekend!  I'm happy to say I've got my jewelry orders complete for the summer.  I need this break!  I had 16 orders this weekend and completed them all!

This is for a confirmand, I love the variety of charms on this one!

I had 2 more sports tag orders, ironically for the same number and team name (but different family/different team)!

These necklaces are for a co-worker adopting a baby from China.  The first necklace is hers, with her son's Chinese name and birthdate on the back.  The second is the exact same, this one is for his foster Mom in China.  When she returns, she will have me make one more bar, this one with his adopted name and date of custody.

This order hit home for me.  My previous job share partner's brother had a stillborn baby last week.  She ordered this necklace and the ID tags below to give to her brother's family, to keep Landon's memory alive.  May their family find peace and comfort during this difficult time:

Lake Minnetonka Fun

We spent Sunday on Lake Minnetonka with Charles and Beth.  The weather wasn't the most cooperative (cloudy and windy) but at least it didn't rain.  The boys had fun in their hot tub, jet skiing, we took a fun boat ride to dinner, and played in their game room.  For not having children of their own, they sure know how to spoil ours when they come (right down to the Twizzlers and Sprite the boys love)!  :)  What a fun, fun day for all of us!

Jewelry

I didn't have a lot of time to work on jewelry this weekend, but I was able to make the most important pieces - baseball necklaces for me and my 2 favorite baseball Moms on Carter's team.  :)  We have so much fun together - it's not only about cheering for our boys - it's also about our girl time.  Love our Tuesday and Thursday nights!!!  XO
