Fun at the Farm

Our daycare was on vacation this past week, so we decided to do the same.  We did have to work on Monday and Tuesday, but then headed up after work on Tuesday to spend the rest of the week.  There is nothing like having a completely clean schedule.  No plans, no agenda, other than FUN!  The weather dictated our plans for the day.  Our days consisted of wild berry picking, go karting, jumping on the trampoline, four wheeling, fishing, boating, swimming, playing Game Cube, and for Kyle and I - sleeping in (almost the best part, if you ask us!)  :)  You just can't beat a week spent in God's country!!!!

All 3 boys crawled in our bed to play Game Cube!

Wild strawberries picked by the roadside with Grandpa!

Just to give you an idea of how small they were!

Carter was sooo excited!

I relaxed on this tube for hours and had the color to show for it!

I looked back to see Ryan leaning over the edge of the boat

Despite numerous warnings, we couldn't get him to sit in his seat

If you can't beat him, join him!

What a great week!  Thank you, Mom and Dad!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and Evan!  It was a great day spent together.  We went to Valleyfair this morning.  We had a great time going on rides and eating our picnic lunch.  Unfortunately, as we were finishing up lunch, the rain rolled in.  Dad and the boys went on one more ride in the rain, but then we waited in the van to see if it was going to end.  With no end in sight, we packed up and came home.  What a bummer, but still thankful we could enjoy the time we had there.  Hopefully it will be better weather next Father's Day! :)

Tournament Games

There was no rest for the weary in our house this week.  Work, golf lessons, VBS, and then tournament games.  Kyle's soccer team and Carter's baseball team each played 3 games this weekend, 2 on Friday night and 4 on Saturday.  It was a busy, busy, busy weekend for us!!!!  Carter's baseball team is still undefeated, and they have an amazing coaching staff.  Kyle's team didn't do so hot this weekend, although he himself played well...

Vacation Bible School

We had Vacation Bible School this week at Glen Cary Lutheran Church in Ham Lake.  It was Ryan's 4th year attending and Carter's 2nd.  I have been the preschool coordinator for the past 3 years.  It was the smallest (and easiest) preschool class I've had with 'only' 17 kids.  The week went very fast, but I was exhausted by the end of it!  We were there 8:30-4:30 Wednesday through Friday.  I enjoyed spending so much time with the boys, especially Carter's class, but I have to say I was happy to see Friday afternoon roll around! :)  What I love is hearing the boys come home and discuss the Bible lessons they learned during the week.  Carter was so excited to tell Grandma and Grandpa all about Daniel in the lion's den!  So fun for them and so many memories made - I still remember all of the VBS programs I went to at my church growing up!!

Golf Lessons

Carter took golf lessons this week at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine.  He was in the SNAG course (starting new at golf).  He had the same coach Ryan had 2 years ago when he took that course.  He is amazing with the kids and Carter had such a great time.  I know Evan would love it if all 3 of his boys would golf with him!
