A little bit about me

Most of this blog will be about the kids - as most of our lives revolve around those kids! :) I wanted to share a little bit about me...

I mentioned that I like to spend time with family and friends - you can see that in the photos I have already posted. I also enjoy working out. My neighbor, Audrey, inspired me to ride in the MS-150 Bike Ride in June. We (4 neighbor friends) rode 150 miles on June 7-8, from Proctor to Blaine, with an overnight in Hinckley, conveniently where I grew up - I could stay with Mom and Dad. Here are a few pictures from our adventure... In the first photo, we were loading our bikes on the semi to start our trip to Proctor. The second photo we are in Canal Park. The third is the first stop on the first day, the fourth is our overnight in Hinckley and the last photo is our finish line!!!!!

What's next for me after MS-150? I am now training for the IronGirl duathalon http://www.irongirl.com/Events/Bloomington.htm - taking place in Bloomington on September 21. It is the first time I have ever done anything like this, so we'll see how it goes!

I also enjoy reading, I am in a book club with friends in the neighborhood - we meet about every 6 weeks to discuss our book selections. I love the dialogue and just getting out!

I started making jewelry when Carter was born. I wanted his name added to my Mom's bracelet and the lady that made it for me no longer did jewelry. I decided to start making Mom's bracelets myself. I have now aquired quite a collection of jewelry and have made a lot of bracelets as gifts and have even sold a few. Here are two that I have made - mine is first - I have included small picture frames of each of my boys. The second is one I made for a baby gift for a friend of mine. Instead of an average 7.5" wrist size for an adult, I make them 5" to fit a baby/toddler wrist. It turned out pretty cute when it was done - she wore it for her baptism - I felt honored! More to come on me later on!
