What better way to beat the heat than head to Bunker Beach on a day like today?! It was mid-90s and bright sunshine. The boys had an absolute blast, and for the first time ever, I could relax a little bit. The boys knew they had to tell me where they were going if they ever left an area, and they did really well. When I checked, they were right where they said they were going to be! It was a great day - 5 hours there passed in the blink of an eye. Thankfully, we have season passes, so we plan to be back a lot this summer! :)

Jewelry
I feel like the kids on their last day of school... I packed up my jewelry making supplies for the last time until September. I really do enjoy making jewelry, but when spring/summer rolls around and I want to be outside spending time with the boys, the last thing I want to do is have the pressure of jewelry orders hanging over me. It feels great to be done! I can't wait to enjoy this summer...every minute of it! :)

Twins Win!
My boss gave my jobshare partner, Sommer, and I (and our spouses) his tickets to the Twins game today. It was in the mid-90s with high humidity, so it was a scorcher at the game. We were in full sun until the 5th inning, and then thankfully were in the shade. Despite the warm temps, it was a great game - the Twins won 11-3 and the company was great as well! Evan and I made the most of our mid-day date and had lunch at the Loon downtown prior to the game. It isn't often that we get out without the kids, so we had a really fun day. Thanks to my Mom and Dad for watching the kids so we could go! XO
Jewelry
My Mom helped me finish these necklaces by putting the dandelion seeds in the vials today. The vials are in an antiqued finish that I do not stock, but wanted to post to give you an idea of the finish. I am getting a ton of compliments on the wish necklaces and I do enjoy them - they are a fun and unique concept!
Grandpa's Birthday
We celebrated Dad's birthday with him today. Carter picked out Grandpa's cake at DQ all by himself, and he was so proud of himself! I am glad you had a good birthday, Dad, and we wish you many more happy ones. We love you and appreciate all that you do for us! XOXO

Zero Gravity
We have compiled a Mackey Summer Fun list in our heads, now we need to get it down on paper. One item was crossed off the list last night (ice cream at Big Dipper), and other today when we went to Zero Gravity indoor trampoline park. It was a beautiful day outside, so the park was nearly empty. It was great to have the area relatively quiet. There are couches and comfy areas for the parents to sit and wait, so I read a book and actually dozed off while the boys played. They had 120 minutes of jump time, but they allowed them to go in early and the boys also bounced late, so it was closer to 2.5 hours by the time we left. Ryan could hardly get up off the couch when he sat down to put on his shoes - he was sooo tired! Well worth the money if you ask me - we'll be going back. The boys loved it!!!

Second Grader
As of 4:00 p.m. yesterday, we officially have a second grader. Wow - I can't believe it! He was so excited all day! He had a great year this year and we are sad to say goodbye to his teacher, but excited to say hello to the summer months!

I think Carter enjoyed Ryan's balloons
more than he did! |

Trip to the Big Dipper as a treat on the last day of school. So many choices, so little time (and room!) :)
