Art Fair

The boys and I ventured over to Northtown Mall to the Art Fair, where Ryan had one of his art pieces displayed.  He was less than impressed, but Carter and I thought it was pretty cool! :)

Happy 13th Birthday, Kyle!

I seriously cannot believe we have a teenager in the house.  How is that possible?  He had a pretty cool birthday today - he left school early in a limo that took him and a friend to the Twins home opener and back again.  Grandpa and Grandma came down and we opened gifts and had cake here.  It had to rank right up there on the cool factor as far as birthdays go!  Happy Birthday, buddy - we love you!!!!

Happy Easter!

We had a great day today.  We started with the Easter baskets this morning and then headed up north to my Aunt and Uncle's house.  We had a huge feast there and then an Easter egg hunt.  The kids played and played with their cousins - it is great they are all so close in age.  I am thankful we could all be together to celebrate today! :)

Getting up close and personal:

I look at this now and think "what mother would allow her son to poke his head through a barbed wire fence like that?" and yet I didn't think anything of it at the time!?!?!

A very tired Carter after a busy weekend.  He was out cold watching his movie on the way home tonight!!!  I look at it as the sign of a great weekend!!! :)

Carter's 5th Birthday Party

We had Carter's 5th Birthday party today.  We had 11 kids at Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, in Plymouth.  They had a blast jumping - they were so sweaty and tired when the 60 minutes was up!  We came back here for lunch, cake, and gift opening.  It was a successful day, and it wiped us all out! :)

All of the kids at Sky Zone - anxiously awaiting their jump time!!!

All ready for Easter!

Ryan had Friday off of school, so the three of us spent the day getting ready for Easter!  We colored eggs and made bird nests and I assembled Easter baskets while they were watching cartoons.  I'm officially ready for the big day!

Excited to see the eggs turning color!

Not exactly works of art, but they had fun creating them! :)

We made bird nests.  We used chow mein noodles, marshmallows, and butter - just like you'd make rice krispie bars, but instead of putting them in a pan, we put them in muffin tins, and shaped a nest.

This is what the finished product looked like.  The boys were skeptical at first, but one bite and they were hooked!  YUM!!
