Ryan's Swimming Lessons
Ryan started swimming lessons in Danny's class at Foss last week. He had Danny last year and LOVED him - they get along so well. Ryan told me that "Danny is the craziest person in history". Translation = Danny likes to have fun and he 'gets' Ryan!!!! Click on the video below to see Ryan's first time off the diving board - it made his day!!!!

Gorgeous
You could smell spring in the air today. It was 64* and absolutely beautiful outside. Almost ALL of our snow melted this past week. The kids played outside much of the day. We pulled out our patio furniture and swept out the thick rug of dirt that accumulated in the garage over the course of the long winter months. I even did a little picking up in the yard and cleaned out some perennial beds. Can it really be...spring here this early? I certainly wouldn't be disappointed. I started the boys on their allergy meds last week - almost a full month earlier than normal!!! Either way, it won't be long now!!
Family Sunday
We have Family Sunday at church the second Sunday of the month, where the kids do not attend Sunday School, but instead sit with the family during church. I'll be honest, I don't jump up and down when it is Family Sunday because I get very little out of the sermon, instead I spend my time entertaining kids and breaking up fights. Today I entertained Ryan with homework. We did fill in the blank, matching, and what comes next. He had a blast - I actually got him to sit still the almost TWO hours we were in church today (we arrived early - somehow I got our time off today!) Regardless, Ryan is a little sponge right now, wanting to learn more and more about spelling, math, and is even starting to read three letter words. Amazing - I'm going to keep working with him as long as he is this excited about learning!!!!
Parade of Homes
Kyle and I bummed around on Saturday afternoon, officially crushing carpets at the local Parade of Homes models. I like to look for creative decorating ideas and he likes to stake claim on the 'coolest' bedroom in the house just in case we decide to write up a purchase agreement right then and there. We have done this for years and it is our time together. We came away with 2 favorites - one we could realistically afford (almost), and one out of our league, but fun to see. We stayed so long in the home theater that the realtor showing the house offered us food and beverages. Maybe a polite way for him to say 'beat it - make room for the real buyers!' but I am pretty sure that sitting in the million dollar homes, you get more carpet crushers than potential buyers!!!

Jewelry
My jewelry creations from last night. The first request was for something "different" - she wanted a stone with pinks, purples and aquas. I found the abalone stone at the bead store and knew it would fit the bill. Hope you like it, Carrie! All are on the new snake chain - this seems to be the big hit since I've gotten them in!
