The past couple of summers we have spent a lot of time in the boat on Grindstone. This weekend was no exception. I grew up spending a lot of time on the lake when I was growing up and I am so glad my boys can experience that as well! We have all been enjoying every minute of our time there!
Carter has become a fish in the water. You see his feet as much as you see his head out of the water. This is the first year he is so comfortable underwater. He wants to jump off the boat in the drop-off, swim underwater, and dive for rocks. I love it and I'm so proud of him!

Parade
We went in to the Hinckley Parade on Saturday morning. This is one of my all time favorite parades. Maybe just because it is my hometown, but I love it. The boys really enjoy it as well. That could have something to do with the fact that they each come home with a bag full of candy!!! (and Sondra buys them Tiny Tim's donuts to enjoy while they watch the parade!)
Hinckley Carnival
My Mom and Dad took the boys to the carnival on Friday afternoon. I had to work, so Evan and I met them after work. The boys rode all afternoon with an armband and it looks like they had a great time!!! Ryan has always been our adventurous one, but I am surprised at how fearless Carter has become, going on the 'big' rides all alone! :)

Beating the Heat
We are in the midst of a heat wave here in MN. Temps have been in the 90s for the past week, with no end in sight. With high humidity levels, you almost have to be in the water to be able to stand it outside, at least for long periods of time. Water is just what we did today at Bunker Beach, and brought friends along to boot! The kids had a blast and the Moms did, too! :)
Carter attempted the rock climbing wall for the first time. Although he didn't reach the top, he made it farther each time he attempted it!
Ryan shows him how it is done and he makes it look easy!
Snack time!

Alexis joined the group
{Im}patiently waiting for the safety break to end
And they're off!
My tan little man! :)

Twins Game
I took the boys and their friend, Lukas, to the Twins game last night. I was a little confused when we walked in and saw the scoreboard with the Millers and Blues on it. The lady next to me explained it was flashback night to when the Twins were the Millers and the Royals were the Blues. Whew! I doubt I was the only one wondering that at the game! :)
The kids had so much fun and were so well behaved. We have 3 more games we will be going to this season. Looking forward to it!!!
