Ryan started taking pictures with Evan's cell phone. He then moved to my cell phone, then my point and shoot, and now decided he likes my SLR. He does a great job, but sometimes forgets to be careful with it. He needs to learn not to knock the lens into the wall, the table, etc. It'll take some practice, but he'll get there. I hope he enjoys taking pictures as he grows up as much as I do!!! :)

Hawaiian Night
Tuesday night was Hawaiian night at Carter's Family of Christ Preschool. They had a dance, craft room, movie room with snacks and play-doh, and a raffle drawing. My kids spent almost the entire night playing play-doh. You know, because that is not something we can do here at home. Okay, so maybe it is...sometimes I don't understand, but we just go with it. They had a great time and we lasted until the raffle drawing was nearly done. A few tears because they didn't win the Zhu Zhu pet basket, but life goes on (at least for me, took a while for them to realize that! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope you and yours had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I had one of the best days I can remember. I think it was because I was so excited for the boys, because I remember how much fun Valentine's Day was for me growing up. Our fun started at 6:30 this morning when Ryan got up...
and he found a trail of red M&Ms from his door and blue M&Ms from Carter's door
which led down the stairs...
and through the living room...
Carter's went behind the treasure chest...
Both had Valentine's gift bags...
filled with their favorite Lego minifigs and stickers! What a way to start the day!
Fast forward a few hours, and parties later, and we all had heart shaped pizza for dinner - yum!!!!
The boys each got cards and money from Grandpa and Grandma and cards and savings bonds from us and then a family gift...a new Wii game!!!
we read books that Ryan brought home from his gift exchange at school, we snuggled and talked about our favorite part of the day, and then it was lights out. I can't think of a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day. What did YOU do today?

Jewelry
It was a weekend of jewelry orders in my house. The first were ID tags for daycare and teachers for tomorrow. I thought they could use them for their keychains, purses, jackets, or even put them on their favorite chain and wear them as a necklace. I hope they like them!

Beginner Blades
Ryan completed his Beginner Blades skating class yesterday. He went from being scared to getting on the ice to completely loving it and not wanting to leave. He begs me to take him to the rink on the weekends. I am so glad he likes to skate - now he can skate with me!!! :)

Click the following link to watch Ryan's skating class. He looks like he is running and just happens to have ice skates on. Someday he will polish his technique, but for now, this gets him from Point A to Point B. This video is for you, Sondra!!! :)
Love Letter
I am not sure when I received my first love letter, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't in kindergarten. This one is from his girlfriend, Alexis. I had to take a picture - I thought it was so sweet!!!!
Pink Slip
Has it really been a week since I have posted? It has been a busy week! Ryan came home with a pink slip this week. When I was in school, you did not want to receive a pink slip. However, times have changed and in his school, you want a pink slip. He received his for "Making Good Choices" and resting during rest time and setting a good example for the rest of the class. The pink slip is brought home to show your parents and then brought back to school to be entered into a monthly drawing for prizes conducted by Mrs. Pav, Ryan's school principal. We are so proud of you, buddy!!!!!
