Tot Model...Again!

Carter is featured on the Artist Cove flyer again this year. He was also on last year's flyer. We are scheduled for another shoot next week - I just love their work. They capture that smile that is so contagious on Carter! He will be placed in a model portfolio to showcase their work - who knows if this could lead to a modeling gig for Carter? Last year's photo is definitely a favorite of mine - anxious to see how this year's turns out!

Frosty

I've said this before, but I am not a fan of winter. Give me 80 and sunshine year round and I am one happy camper. I can, however appreciate the beauty of frost on the trees outside on a winter morning. It has warmed up a lot here, and everything was covered with frost this morning. Gorgeous!

Starting

Living life on the edge is not a way I would choose to describe myself. It would be a lot more exciting, and sometimes I wish I had more of that in me, but I do not. Evan and the boys went up north this weekend. I had the entire weekend to myself. I went to a great Book Club on Friday night, shopped for jewelry pieces on Saturday morning, designed jewelry on Saturday afternoon and spent the entire rest of the weekend spring cleaning. I start early because it literally takes me until spring to get through my entire house at the pace I go. I completed the kitchen this weekend. I show my Type A personality when I literally could sit and stare at my clean, organized cupboards. I dread starting this project, but love the finished results!

The snack cupboard was dangerous before I started on it. You never knew what was going to fall out when you opened the doors. Much better now!
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go enjoy my clean cupboards! Thanks Mom, Dad, and Evan for giving me an entire weekend to myself. I feel great! :)

Additions

I went to the bead store this morning and have been surfing online and found some fun new pieces for my stamped sterling collection. I made a few more necklaces today:

Freshwater pearls - I love how clean these look on a stamped disc:

New birthstones in every month - channel set in sterling silver:

1" washer with the freshwater pearl in place of a birthstone - this is one of my new favorite looks!

I also purchased a dapping block set to 'dome' (curve) the jewelry, I can dome them in or out, this looks especially nice with stacked pieces. I am having so much fun with this stamping!!!

Wild Game

We took the boys to a Wild Hockey Suite last night. They had a blast and were so well behaved. I kept wondering where my kids were!?! Ha! We had a great time and Ryan made friends with Evan's coworker, Norm - he and Norm watched almost the entire game together! Thanks for being such a good sport, Norm!

Nordy visited our Suite!

Carter schmoozing with the chicks:

Ryan 'air guitarring' and singing with Norm:

"My so mad"

Oh, and there was a game going on, too. Wild Score goal #2!!!

More jewelry fun

My chain arrived yesterday so I was able to finish off a few of my jewelry orders. I don't know if I'll feel 'caught up' for a long time, but that is okay by me - the orders have kept me busy!

Ice Fishing

Since we didn't GO ice fishing yesterday, Ryan and I compromised by building legos of ice fishing scenes. I know, a lame substitution, but soon, we will get the boys out ice fishing...I promise. And I'm guessing my Dad will be right along side them in the fishhouse!
