Como Zoo Field Trip

Today I chaperoned Ryan's class field trip to Como Zoo.  He wanted to bring Carter along, so the three of us went to the zoo.  Actually, Carter and I met the school bus there.  Anyway, we joined up with 2 other Moms and we had 6 kids between the three of us.  It was a busy day and quite hot there - I got a  little sunburned - I forgot my own shoulders even though I was careful with all of the kids!!  We ended the day with 6 kids, and as Mrs. Busch said when we left...that is always a bonus! :)

Slip and Slide

We went from winter to summer overnight, it felt like this past weekend.  Friday we were bundled in layers to watch Ryan's track and field day and today with the dewpoint, it felt like it was 90.  I'll take it - bring on the heat! :)  The boys took full advantage of the heat for water toys.  They were in water all day long!!!!

Ryan with his buddy next door, Lukas:

Carter was not a happy camper to have to take a nap today and miss out on the fun, but he lost no time in getting in on the action when he woke up from his siesta!

Jewelry

I had a productive weekend working on jewelry, in between spring projects.  As much as I was hoping for sunshine to finish my outdoor projects, I also appreciated the time to catch up on my jewelry orders!

A keychain for a Father's Day gift for one of Ryan's classmates' Dads!

An end-of-the-year teacher gift order:

Engagement/wedding gift for my neighbor's son.  I love this new style! :)

An order from a teacher at Carter's preschool, for her Mom:

A silent auction item for a local charity:

The next four are early Christmas gift orders - seriously, does she plan ahead or what?  I wish I was that on top of things! :)

I love this little flower decal between the names!

Ryan's Track and Field Day

As if we didn't pack enough into this morning, this afternoon was Ryan's Track and Field Day at Johnsville Elementary School.  He had a blast and was full of energy today!!!  Carter even got in the action on several events.  He can't wait to go to kindergarten!
