Spiderman Bedroom

It was time to move Carter from his crib to his big boy bed. We made the transition last weekend and he saw it for the first time when he returned from Mom and Dad's on Saturday night. He was so excited to see his Spiderman bedding. He is officially our big boy now - potty trained and in a big bed. No more baby. Not sure how I feel about that. I am so proud that I was able to return our last 2 cases of diapers. That is HUGE after almost 6 straight years of diaper-buying! We love you, Carter-man!

Vacation

We spent some time up north at Mom and Dad's this past week. It was a busy week - I feel like I need a vacation from our vacation when we are with the boys. Just to give you an idea of what all we did this week:

Kyle racing around the yard on his Grizzly:

Never.Say.Never - I swore Ryan would never drive a full size 4 wheeler until he was at least 10. I ate my words - he drove my Dad's all week and loved it. He has a future as a stunt man, he told me that is what he wants to be when he grows up!

Carter is still content to ride 4 wheeler with Grandpa - how long before he wants his own, too?

Kyle taking a break from 4 wheeling and cutting dead branches down from Grandma's silver maple tree:
Ryan climbing up the tree, right behind Kyle:

Ryan boating on Lake 11:

Ryan and Kyle tubing:

Carter trying his hand at tubing - he loved it!
Clearly Carter was enjoying this more than Kyle, by the look on Kyle's face:

Carter and Kyle picking up speed:
My view from the back seat of the boat, my job was photographer during the tubing:

Carter back on the boat, loving life:

Kyle tubing alone:

Kyle overboard:

Again:
Evan's turn to cannonball:

Ryan jumping in:
Swimming in the middle of Lake 11:

Carter taking a break for some water:

Good to the last drop:

Family of loons:

Bald eagle:

My view laying down in the front of the boat:

And the sun, making its appearance:

Kyle tubing again:

Spray getting him as he crosses the wake:

Carter taking it all in:

The boys camped outside one night, Evan and the little boys in this tent:

Kyle had his own, so as not to be woke up by his brothers:

Ryan practicing his bow and arrow:

Maybe he needs to back up just a touch from the target?

Proud shooter:

Our bonfire on the night the boys camped outside (we consumed a lot of s'mores before bed!!):

Ryan in his riding helmet:

Giving Grandpa's 4 wheeler a workout:
There is literally a path worn in the grass as the boys ride around, and around, and around the house and yard:

Carter taking a turn on the water slide:

Ryan's turn:

Heading down together:

I wish I kept track of how many times they went down the slide - literally hundreds!

Face first isn't unusual for Ryan:

In addition to all of the above, they also went berry picking, went to see Toy Story 3 in the movie theater, swimming at Sondra's, fishing with Grandpa at Lake 11 and Lake 5, played Game Cube, checked their trail cam for bear and buck sightings, and just played outside. Whew! If that doesn't make you tired, nothing will!!! We had a great week!!!!
