Christmas Tree

Getting the boys together for a picture and getting everyone to smile while looking at the camera...almost painful - just one look at Ryan's expression on this picture will confirm that!

Our Happy Mackey - his smile is contagious!

Ultimate Indulgence

So I know this has about 3 days worth of calories in a single serving, but is it worth it? Yep, every last bite. My favorite - mint with Oreos. I miss my Cold Stone runs with Bethany - they were so much fun! Now I have to bring it home and eat it alone - there's just something wrong with that!

Crazy Driver

Ryan loves to play the Wii. More specifically, he loves to play Mario Kart. He is just learning, so is not in 1st, but he holds his own for 4 years old. He was playing Wii tonight and Carter and I were cheering him on... I mentioned to Evan that I was worried for when he turned 16 - the thought of him with an actual license is concerning to say the least!

The 'Ryan' look - looking out of the side of his eyes:

Crash! This is the part that worries me as a parent with him behind the wheel!

School Pictures

Ryan's fall pictures from school. This is the first year I remember an actual backdrop rather than a plain blue background? You're growing up so fast, buddy!

Ryan's Turkey

Ryan's Handprint Turkey from preschool. I never tired of looking at their projects - and now they are actually starting to resemble something! :)

Bobcat Operator

My dad came running into the house yesterday "get your camera, Kyle is operating the bobcat". I went to the woods and snapped the following photographs. Kyle could not only get around in the bobcat, he loaded a trailer full of logs. His patience and attention to detail make him the perfect operator. Maybe he'll be an operator for Bolander someday? :)

Proud Grandpa watching him:

Lincoln Log Creation

Kyle's lincoln log creation (the set, minus 5 missing pieces was from my Grandma's house). This creation is the picture on the front of the box. The little boys used the forts as a garage for their cars all weekend until it was 'accidentally' crushed in a wrestling match!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We spent a wonderful day with my family down in Byron, MN at my cousin Kim's house. Our kids are almost the same age (Olivia is 5 and Noah is 3) and they had a blast playing together!

Okay, so our spacing was a little off and we cut people's smiles off, but here we are!

My cousin's gorgeous formal dining room - I love her distressed furniture!

The pumpkin says it all..."we are truly thankful"

More Fun on the Farm

The kids have the best time up north. Evan and I were just talking about it today - for city kids, they sure have the life when they have Grandpa and Grandma that live on 80 acres just over an hour away. We played outside today and enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine!

Come ON Grandpa!

I'm ready!

Kyle on his Grizzly:

Grandpa giving rides on his four wheeler:

Has anyone seen Ryan?

Just to give you an idea of why it is difficult to find storage space in the shed...
3 tractors
3+ lawn mowers (including at least 2 riding mowers)
5 four wheelers
2 four wheeler trailers
3 boats
Fishhouses and sleds
Gator
Dirt bike
Bobcat
Go kart
and a whole lotta Grandpa's junk, I mean prized possessions... :)

Is it fair for a boy to have lashes like that?

PLEASE Dad, can we please take out the go kart?
How can you say no to those big brown eyes?

Grandpa swinging with the boys:

Kyle learned to spin the go kart in circles today:

Over and over....

I took a spin with Carter and Kyle:

Off we went:

One of my favorite pictures of the day and I have to give my husband credit for it:

Kyle gives Ryan a spin:

Again

and again (look at that smile):

Now it's Carter's turn....hang on!

Carter loved spinning with Kyle:

Around

and around

they went
until lunch time. What a FUN time we had!!!!!
