America's Next "Tot" Model

Carter did a photo session for a studio in Anoka last year. He was chosen as a baby model. He is on their current flyer, they are looking for America's Next "Tot" Model. He is the bottom row, second from the right. I am taking him back to the studio in 2 weeks for his next shot at modeling. Who knows - maybe he'll hit it big! :)

Hawaiian Night

Hawaiian Night in February? That's what we celebrated tonight at Ryan's preschool. They hired a DJ to play kids music - the kids did the bunny hop, limbo, chicken dance, etc. When I say kids, not mine....but other people's kids! Mine were too busy with other things. Carter did hit the dance floor for a little while, but Ryan rocked out with the guitar, enjoyed freezies with Grace and played playdoh. What a fun night for the kids. Started out a little rough with a crabby Carter, but once he saw the kids, the dance, the playdoh, the freezies, snacks, movies, he was sold! And he crashed as soon as we got home - bonus! :)

Cancun

We had a fabulous, relaxing vacation in Cancun, Mexico. I hope we can get away again next year. We couldn't have done it without the help of my parents, who watched the boys. I can't thank them enough. Ryan and Carter were both sad that they couldn't go home with Grandpa and Grandma tonight and Ryan asked them if they could move in with us! 3 ice fishing trips with Grandpa were the icing on the cake for Ryan. Unfortunately, Carter's trip to the doctor for a double ear infection was a little less exciting or fun, but he was in good hands. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for providing us a much needed getaway! It was wonderful! :)

Dinner

Our favorite restaurant at the hotel was Pier 12. Evan was a more adventurous diner than I was - he tried a different seafood specialty every night. I was pretty boring with the pasta dishes - go figure!

Ocean

I could not get enough of walking on the beach. I would love to live on a beach, but I think it would take more than a little arm twisting to get Evan to move there...

Entertainment Team

We had a blast with the Entertainment Team at the Golden Parnassus. The staff - pictured below - Said, Lobito, Alessa, and Adrian were awesome! We have a lot of fun memories with them, it was hard to leave!

The Golden Parnassus

Golden Parnassus from the outside - both from the front and the back views. I loved the flowers in Mexico - the colors are so vibrant and gorgeous!

Shopping Trip to La Isla Mall

We took the bus to La Isla Shopping Mall on the second day, just to take in the sights. What a gorgeous view for a mall!!!! It was so hot in Cancun last week, Evan didn't miss a chance to take in a beer at a bar overlooking the lagoon.

Balcony View

The view from our balcony was gorgeous, especially at sunset. I tried to be in the room every night at sunset to watch. We had a view of the lagoon behind the hotel area. Evan took in the sunrises from the pool area, but I wasn't ambitious enough most mornings to get down there in time!!!
