Kissing Ball

Today I took a design class at Mickman's. I had a great time and came away with this finished product! And I even learned how to make the fancy bows! I can save most of the materials and make my own kissing ball next year -love it!

Baby Karys

My girlfriend in New Hampshire delivered a beautiful baby girl on Monday. This bracelet is on its way to her tomorrow. Big sister Maeve also received one as a baby gift. I hope she likes it!

Helicopter

Ryan came upstairs tonight so excited to show me the new creation he had put together - a helicopter. He just loves to build things - from Legos to K'nex to Pixos to playmobile... too bad the kid doesn't have any toys to play with!

Perpetual Motion

Perpetual Motion not only describes my boys, but also the name of their gymnastics studio. They started gymnastics class a few weeks ago and it is the highlight of their week. They LOVE it! It is the first time Carter has participated in a class, instead of just watching Ryan!

Getting ready for class to start:

Carter climbing:

What's down there?

In the tire:

Examining a superhero ball on the trampoline:

Still fascinated with the ball:

Holidazzle Parade

Mackey family tradition brings us downtown Minneapolis every December for dinner at the Target Cafe and watching the Holidazzle Parade. Following the parade, we check out Macy's Christmas Display and visit Santa. The boys had a great time last night!

It's hard to tell if he is excited for the parade?!?!

Bubble blowing lessons...
Free gumball machine didn't go to waste with Kyle!

Swimming Lessons

Ryan is completing his second year of swimming lessons at Foss Swim School. He has a great instructor this session, Megan. He doesn't always listen as well as he could, but if there was an award given out for energy level, I think he'd be on the top of the list. Now we just need to figure out how to channel that energy. Below is a great example of the energy that needs to be re-directed (splashing his teacher).

Only a bystander now, Carter will be starting his own lessons soon! :)

All About Me

Ryan brought the All About Me Clifford Backpack to preschool today. He was SO excited for his turn to show his class his favorite things from home. Today he brought to school: his Buddy Bear (replica that Grandma bought him after he had his Buddy Bear home from preschool), Thunderbolt book he can read all by himself, Justice League superhero movie, red heart ring Grandma gave him, and Crocodile Dock keyring from vacation bible school last summer. What a collection, buddy!
