Flower Market

We passed this flower market on our walk on Sunday. The flowers were gorgeous - I was amazed at the colors for this time of year! I could have spent the afternoon here!!!

Van Gogh Museum

Van Gogh Museum was 3 stories high, filled with the paintings of Van Gogh, as well as the story of his life. The top floor was filled with other artist paintings that inspired and worked with Van Gogh. This was probably my least interesting tour - I think someone that really appreciates paintings would enjoy it.


No cameras were allowed in the Van Gogh Museum, so you'll have to trust us that we actually went on the tour! :)

This little park was outside the Van Gogh Museum. That was the most grass I saw in Amsterdam...combined!

Rjiks Museum

We visited the Rjiks Museum as our last tour in Amsterdam. It was full of history and very cool artifacts from Amsterdam. I found myself intrigued to learn more about the culture and history of the city. This was a surprising thumbs up for me because I am not typically a museum buff! Once again, no cameras were allowed in the Museum, which was really disappointing because there were so many cool photo opportunities in the Museum!

Pizzeria

There were so many quaint little coffee houses, pizzerias, and pubs in Amsterdam. This was one we found on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a pizza baked in a wood stove oven. Yum!

Pigeons

Pigeons were EVERYWHERE in Amsterdam. We would be walking down the street and they are in a large group and all scatter when you get near them. I found myself ducking to avoid them and looked up to see the locals smirking at me...

Did I mention they were even on restaurant tables?

Daddy's Little Hunter

It looks like Evan will have a hunter (or three) following in his footsteps. The boys' favorite winter activity (aside from Wii of course) - is nerf dart guns in the basement!

Martha Stewart

I don't claim to be a Martha Stewart...housekeeper I am, cook or creative mastermind I am not. I do, however, enjoy a few crafts, and this is one of them - my winter arrangements. This is about as Martha Stewart as I'm going to get - so enjoy! :) Mom - thanks for sending down the boughs and weeds for my creation!!!
