Twins Game
After soccer last night, we headed to the Twins game. They played the Yankees and were beaten badly, but when you are 2 and 4, you really don't pay much attention to the game anyway. You mainly stick your hands in the pop cup, kick the chair ahead of you, beg for pizza and frozen lemonade, and generally talk loud enough to annoy those around you! Other than that, they were angels!!! It wasn't that bad, all in all, they actually did fairly well!! We left in the 5th inning, we weren't pressing out luck staying for the entire game - and good thing we did leave. It was 5-1 Yankees when we left and by the time we turned on the radio in the truck it was 10-1. I don't think we missed anything!!

Soccer
Ryan had his first night of sports tonight through the Blaine Parks and Rec Board. It is pretty comical watching a large group 3 and 4 year olds try to listen to directions and understand the concept of soccer. Not a lot gets accomplished in this environment, but he did have fun (most of the time)! He did get mad when he didn't understand red light/green light - I think one teenager needs a little help to rein in this group!!! T-ball starts next week and that is his favorite - I anticipate he will do well with that one!

Lions Parade
My parents have been attending the Lions International Conference downtown Minneapolis this week. Today they marched in a 4 hour parade, that went directly past my building. Mom was able to call me and I could run down to watch them march by. My parents devote a lot of their time to the Lions Club and their community so this was neat to see!! Good job, Mom and Dad! **unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to bring my camera, so you'll have to see the grainy cell phone images I captured!

Jet Skiing
Steve LaFrenier agreed to give the boys jet ski rides on the Lake. They rode for a long time and were so excited! When they got off, I asked Kyle if Steve went fast. He shrugged his shoulders and said "depends, do you consider 65 mph fast?" Ummm...yeah, I do, with 2 kids on board!!! When I asked Ryan what his favorite part of vacation was, he said "jet skiing". It was a hit...another must have if we ever live on a lake? :)
