S'mores

We had a BBQ/Bonfire tonight with former neighbors as well as current neighbors. I wanted to get a shot of the kids since we try to get together on a regular basis. It will be fun to see how much they change by the next set of pictures! The kids played hard in the sandbox, and the proof was in the filthy bathtub tonight!!!! Poor Lily was outnumbered 5:1 boy to girl ratio, but that didn't slow her down a bit!!!

Slip and Slide

The boys pulled out the slip and slide this afternoon and played (in the freezing cold water) for hours. Well, until I literally had a mudhole in the freshly black-dirt/patch repair/seeded spot in my lawn. It saw enough water today, that is for sure. We'll see what happens to it after this! Regardless, the boys had a blast. Up and down, up and down, timed routes, etc. All fair game in the Mackey yard!

Not just for cat litter anymore...

What a clown! We use this bucket for squirt gun and water toy fights. Carter has adopted it as his personal bathtub of sorts. He struggles to get his body down in there and has to dive to get out of it, but for whatever reason, loves it. Made me laugh, so I had to get a shot of it!

Dad and his Boys

What a perfect day weather-wise. We have been outside since 9:00 a.m. - having squirt gun fights, water toy fights, slip and slide, etc. All boy and all water!!! I am in only briefly to shower for our company coming tonight - plan on heading back outside shortly!!!!

Like Father, Like Son

Does this look like a mini-Evan or what? Phone in one hand and drink in the other? Only Evan's wouldn't be water!!!! Carter has called my Dad 'Pa' since he started talking and it just stuck. 'Pa' is his favorite person in the world, he tops Evan and me hands down. He was happy to talk to him on the phone tonight. He doesn't know it, but 'Pa' will be down tomorrow for the weekend - he'll be in his glory!!!!

Ice Cream

Evan is golfing with the bridge blast crew this afternoon, so I took the boys out for dinner after Ryan's program and ice cream as a special treat. I think my kids are starting to understand how important it is to enjoy ice cream is on a regular basis! :)

Vacation Bible School Program

This afternoon Carter and I went to Ryan's VBS closing program. It was a Crocodile Dock swamp theme. Very cute program! Here are a few shots of the stage and Ryan with his class. Great job, buddy!
