Swimming Lessons

Ryan's fall session of swimming lessons will end in 2 weeks. He has made huge improvements on his skills. He is now moving to Little Threes. He loves his lessons and looks forward to them every week. If only he could master sitting on the top step when waiting for his turn to swim.... :)

Holidazzle Parade

We went to Target Plaza for dinner and then watched the Holidazzle Parade from inside the building. I can't imagine standing outside with 3 kids when it was only 10* out! This is a much better way to watch the parade (especially for those that freeze outside like me!) Kyle and Ryan really enjoyed the parade and being the first to shout out the theme of each float, but Carter was relatively uninterested. He had a great time visiting the picture of the Target dog and running the hallways so we just took turns letting him run. It was a fun, but very busy night!

Santa

What a job to see Santa this year! We stood in a relatively short line (probably about 20 minutes long), we get all the way up to Santa and his camera was broke! Those of you that know me, know mine is never out of reach! I took a few shots, Evan took a few shots, and the opposite wrestled with Carter. He was NOT going to sit on Santa's lap or even near him. Kyle and Ryan did very well and told Santa their wish list, but Carter did not want anything to do with him! I think Santa was ready for our visit to be over by the time we finally left! :)

Macy's Christmas Display

We took the kids to the Macy's Christmas Display - "A Day in the Life of an Elf". The kids really enjoyed it and were very intrigued. Kyle and Ryan understood what the different scenes were about. Carter was just mesmerized by the moving pieces and all of the activity!

Santa Claus came to Mankato Street!

What a night! We thought we would be smart and bundle the kids up for the Santa visit to the neighborhood. In year's past, he comes to our area first. This year, however, we were not one of the first neighborhoods. We eventually got cold, went inside to warm up, waited (impatiently) and finally went up to give Carter and Ryan a "quick" bath. Wouldn't you know it, I heard the fire engines as we were wrapping up the boys' baths. Carter had pjs on, and Ryan was brought out wrapped in a towel, the rest of us were barefoot! So much for the smart planning! Regardless, the boys loved seeing Santa! Carter was SO excited!!!! I love seeing their faces light up like that! :)

R-y-a-n

Ryan has been practicing writing his name since last summer. Here is today's paper from Jill's house! :)

Once in a Lifetime?

Kyle came in insisting I had to take a picture of the moon, Venus, and Jupiter (he was outside studying them with his telescope). You can barely make out Venus and Jupiter in this photo, they are to the bottom right. So here you go, this one's for you, Kyle!
