Open House

The boys had their open house at school last night.  I don't think they're quite ready to go back to school yet (the same goes for their Mom - an alarm and routine on Thursdays and Fridays, my days off?  No way!), but I do think seeing their classrooms, meeting their teachers, and putting their supplies in their desks and lockers helped.  Carter has a brand new teacher this year, Mrs. Chastanet.  She seemed very nice and if she's anything like Carter's new teacher last year, he will have a great year!  It is his last year having a single classroom teacher, in 3rd grade, he will be in a diad or triad.  Ryan has Mr. Sonnenfeld for his home room teacher and Mrs. Erne for the other half of the diad.  Four more days of summer left and back to the school year.  How on earth did that happen?

Water Slide

The kids had so much fun on the water slide today.  I could hear their giggles in the house.  I love this picture of them! :)

Football Scrimmage

Ryan had his first football scrimmage today.  The Bengals did a great job and Ryan had several awesome tackles.  He was a lot more aggressive on the field and did a great job.  I look forward to the football season! :)

A nice block for Josh:

Bunker Buddies (and Avery!)

Carter and Caeden have had so much fun at Bunker this summer.  We've gone almost every week this summer, sometimes more than once.  We've enjoyed the Clarks so much and we're going to miss this when school starts!  :(

Boating

We went out on the boat with Jeff and Judy and Chad and Heather again this week.  We had so much fun.  It was the picture of rest and relaxation.  I worked for Jeff for 4.5 years and he recently left Target.  He will be missed so much!  I'm glad Judy is still at Target - I really enjoy working with her.  :)  I also worked with Heather in my previous job share and I miss working with her, too - thankfully we're still on the same team and get to see each other on a regular basis!

Bemidji

We visited Evan's Grandma Elsye in Bemidji this past weekend.  She turns 105 on Wednesday.  She does incredible for her age.  She still gets around and visits very well.  I never cease to be amazed by her!!!

Before we left, I found a visitor on our front window:

Mom and Dad had a visitor as well when we stopped at their house:

We tried a new hotel in Bemidji - the DoubleTree, right on the lake.  We loved it!  We had a nice, spacious room with bunk beds for the boys:

Ryan and Carter woke up at 7:00.  Evan took them to breakfast, swimming, and they were back, showered, and dressed before Kyle even woke up.  They tried to be quiet and played iPad in bed until he woke up.  :)
What a great weekend!  Looking forward to next year's visit!!!
