Bemidji

We headed to Bemidji this weekend to visit Evan's Grandma Elsye.  She will be celebrating her 104th birthday on Tuesday.  She never ceases to amaze me.  She is still getting around very well.  She uses a walker, but I don't think she'd need it to get around.  She is the oldest one in her assisted living facility and it sounds like one of the most active.  :)

After visiting Grandma Elsye, we headed to Evan's Aunt Mollie and Uncle Terry's place on Big Wolf Lake in Cass Lake:

He was so quick - I think he had explored both boats before we even made it around to the lake from the front of the cabin.  Does that surprise anyone that knows him?

Carter got the claw off of a dead crayfish.  He was so excited.  I had forgotten about the claw until I opened his bag of treasures tonight.  Man, that smell was nasty.  The entire bag went into a container of bleach to soak overnight.  :)

There were pelicans circling overhead.  I wish they would have come in closer - the boys would have loved that!

When we left Terry and Mollie's, we went to the Paul Bunyan Museum in Bemidji:

After the museum, we finally made it to the hotel.  The boys couldn't wait to get into the pool!!!!

The boys woke up at 6:30 this morning, and were so anxious to get into the pool.  They remind me so much of myself when I was little - I remember going through the same thing!!! :)

The boys' first experience in a sauna - they loved it!!!  What a fun weekend!  :)
