Bullseye

I don't think I shared this picture on the blog.  After almost 10 years at Target, I finally had the opportunity to meet Bullseye.  If I could have a dog as well behaved as Bullseye, I'd have one in a heartbeat.  So cute! :)

All Star

Carter has been {im}patiently waiting for his turn to be a Johnsville All Star.  Finally his time came last week. He came home soooo excited to show us his slip, which he received for being the quietest in the media center.  He was one proud kid! :)

Fall

It's beginning to look a lot like fall up north!!!  We spent a great weekend up north - with temps in the 70s, and wearing short, it hardly felt like fall - but this is the kind of fall weather that I love! :)

Carter wanted to make sure we saw his new Skeletoes Shoes!

Ryan's driving the 400 now!

Hang on, Grandpa!

Jewelry

I was excited to try a new flower disc this weekend.  I love new designs and I altered it as I was going and really like the look!  :)  The new design is below - I added a small disc on top to give it a layered look and make it look even more like a flower.  What do you think?

Jim and Suzzy

Evan's brother Jim and his girlfriend, Suzzy, were visiting Grandma Elyse this weekend.  We had short notice, but we headed up to Evan's sister, Margaret's house to see them. Molly had left prior to our arrival, but Lisa and Teresa were still there, along with Jim, Margaret, and Evan.  Getting 5 of the Mackey siblings in one place at one time on relatively short notice is no easy feat!  It was a great day of visiting and the weather couldn't have been better.  It was a gorgeous fall day and the colors were amazing.  I wish I had taken more photos while we were up there!

Trees were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

We sat around the bonfire when we could stand the smoke!  Tony and Margaret brought out the s'more fixings for the kids and they were a hit!

Jewelry

Evan, Ryan, and Carter went to Cub Scout camp today and Kyle had a homework marathon going on.  That left me time to be creative...I finished a few orders and even made a Christmas gift of my own to give.  If I do 1-2 every time I make jewelry, I'll be set by December! :)

A new spin on the tree of life necklace - a washer instead of a disc.  I like it - it gives it a very different look!

Breakfast of Champions

Carter's baseball team - the Lakeshore Chinooks, are featured on their own Wheaties' box.  What a cool memory of a great baseball season.  Considering that is Carter's first experience in an organized activity, they set the bar pretty high going through the season without a single loss.  What a tribute to 4 phenomenal coaches!

Bookworm

Ryan spent about 2-3 hours reading yesterday afternoon.  I love that he enjoys reading.  Finally, one of them is following in their book-loving Mom's footsteps! :)

They started out with Evan reading to Ryan.  Evan quickly fell asleep, so Ryan read on his own!

Jewelry

The boys are back in school, so I'm back to making jewelry again.  I caught up on my summer orders and made a few gifts in the process.  I also used my Dremel to shine up all of my jewelry.  Over time, especially over the summer months, my jewelry gets darker and dirtier and after shining it up, darkening the letters, and replacing old chains, it looks like new again!  Love that feeling!!! :)

I have already received and completed 3 Christmas orders - wow, that makes me feel like I am behind on my own shopping!  I cannot post all jewelry orders this week because I believe at least one of the recipients reads my blog and I don't want to spoil her surprise!

My new 1/4" stamp.  It looks huge compared to the others, but then again, my regular size font that I use is 1/16"!

My new teacher necklace

I made these for Ryan's and Carter's teachers

I used my large stamp to change out the initial disc on my favorite necklace

For my dear friend and amazing photographer, Jen.  Congrats on her new baby boy, Chase, born in June!
