Twins Game

We had tickets for today's Twins game.  Our tickets were in the sun the.entire.game!  We were so hot!  When a frozen lemonade didn't cool us down, I actually had Evan on the hunt for the ridiculously overpriced spray bottles with fans, to attempt to make us comfortable.  Despite the heat, we had a great time at the game.  We brought the kids down to run the bases and ended up running into my cousin Kim and her family right at the entrance to the base running.  The kids had a blast in the chaotic base running and we were able to visit for a while after the game to catch up!  A great day, all in all!

Uh oh, wonder who is going to be begging for
X-box now?

Carter and Evan

Me and my boys.  Ryan wouldn't look at the camera - he was still mad that we took him away from the X-box console!

And they're off!

It's been a long weekend.  Carter and
Justin napped on the way home!

Visitors

We had Rebecca and Madi at our house last night, one last visit before they return to Texas.  Evan was ripsticking in the driveway when they pulled up.  The ripstick intrigued Madi, and she wanted to see what it was all about.  By the time she left, she was cruising from the top of our driveway to the top of the neighbor's driveway.  She issued Ryan a challenge - they are both going to practice and when she returns to MN, they will see who is the better ripsticker.  We all know Ryan and his competitive edge.  He will not go down without a fight, especially to a girl! :)  What a fun night we had together.  The kids play so well!!  We will miss our Texan friends - the boys really want Madi to move here.  Think we can convince them that MN is better than Texas????  (I think we have a better shot in July than in January!)  ;)

Sleep

Just putting these out on the counter before I go to bed at night buys me a little extra sleep in the morning.  Can't tell you how good that feels! :)

Bald Eagle Waterski Show

The kids and I have been wanting to go to the Bald Eagle Waterski Show all summer.  This was one of the first Thursday nights we have had available and it was a perfect evening for the show.  We were so glad Rebecca and Madi could join us.  I was pleasantly surprised that the kids all hit it off so well together.  I wasn't sure given their age difference, but Madi was so kind, thoughtful and inclusive of both boys.  It went great.  The boys have been asking all day when they can see Madi next! :)
