Jewelry

I made a few necklaces today, I am in love with the little ones for little girls.  These go to two-year-old twins of my co-worker, how fun! :)

You might live in the frozen tundra if...

you just shoveled out of yet another snowfall and there is more on the way.
you have received over 50" of snow year-to-date when average year-to-date is 26.2".
sunshine feels wonderful to you and you call it a 'beautiful' day, even though the thermometer only reads 11*!

I woke up this morning to find my driveway snowblown and my sidewalk shoveled.  What a wonderful surprise when I am feeling under the weather!  I truly do have great neighbors!!!

I took this picture crouched down so you could get the full effect of the deep snow.  Our banks are about 4.5-5' deep at the end of the driveway now:

All of my front landscaping lights are under the snowpack, other than the tips of my lantern lights on the back of the patio:

Our backyard - you cannot tell where the patio ends and the lawn begins - it all blends together:

My tracks out to my birdfeeder - the snow is about thigh-high out there:

Kids playset - dreaming of summer when we can play out there again!!!!

Reading

Carter and his new BFF, SpongeBob, were reading Scooby Doo books in the Story Reader yesterday afternoon.  He was being so good - I had to take a picture.  He is so independent and can entertain himself so well when we are home alone!

Another Postcard

We received another postcard in the mail this week from Como Town, this one to Season Pass holders.  What a day brightener to see a picture of your kids on their mailings...they have gotten a lot of mileage out of our frog hopper picture!  How fun for the kids!!!! :)

Space Police

I pulled a Lego set out of our closet today that was somehow put away unassembled after last Christmas.  I had it on the living room coffee table when Ryan got home from school.  From the minute he got home until bed, he worked on assembling the set.  He did it almost entirely on his own - he was so proud of himself!  Way to go, buddy!!!!

Toy Storage

I used to have a foyer closet that was just for jackets...and then I had kids:

Now I struggle to find room for the jackets amongst the toys!

Skating

I have more skating picturs to share, from our recent trip to the local rink, these are compliments of Tracie, Lukas' Mom.  What a fun day - I hope we go again soon!!!
