Happy Father's Day!

I am blessed to have 2 amazing Dads in my life - my Dad and my husband. I am so thankful for both of them. I wish both of them a very Happy Father's Day!!!!! LOVE YOU!

Swimming at Sondra's

Sondra (and Loren) are finally here! The boys have been (im)patiently waiting for her arrival since she left last summer. We spent the afternoon at the lake with her and then she came over for dinner last night. I should have gotten a picture with her and the boys - next time!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with Sondra and Loren as they head to the Mayo clinic today in Rochester for tests for Loren.

Vacation Bible School

Ryan had Vacation Bible at Glen Cary Church this week. I volunteered as a Preschool Coordinator which oversees the preschool kids (there were almost 50 this year). I took kids that had meltdowns, that needed to use the bathroom, that needed rests, helped with snack and meal times, games, etc. I was basically on the run the entire time. It was fun, but I was so tired by the end of the week - we had 8 hour days and that was long for preschoolers. It was great to spend that time with Ryan and see the kids learn and their faces light up with new activities. What a week!!!!

Do you think...

it might be time to move Carter into a bed? I have asked him many times over the course of the last several months if he wants to be in a big bed and he always says no. I haven't been pushing too hard, since he sleeps GREAT in his crib and has never tried to get out. This past week, however, he finally decided it was time to get a big bed. We are going this week to get him a big bed...finally! When he stretches straight, he is almost the entire length of his crib!!!! Hopefully he'll sleep as well (and stay in bed) in a big bed! Fingers crossed!

Jill

What can I say about Jill? She has taken care of the boys 3 days a week, every week for 3 years. She is the only daycare provider Carter has ever had. She has her house on the market and is hoping to move soon. Sadly, we decided to move the boys to another daycare since her desired home is another 10 minutes north of her (we already drive north to go south to work). Today was Ryan's last day (VBS starts tomorrow) and Thursday is Carter's last day. I made Jill another necklace and the boys made her a card to say thank you for all that she has done for us. I don't know what we would have done without her. How she keeps her patience with all of those kids is beyond me. Jill is simply amazing and we are going to miss her tremendously!!!!!!
