Feeling Better

We had the flu run through our family this past weekend. Carter came down with the flu at Mom and Dad's on Saturday. He was pretty miserable from noon until 11 pm Saturday, but then felt better. We thought we were all safe when no one else came down with it...until Carter got sick again on Monday at noon (over 36 hours later!) A few hours later, Ryan got it (bad) and a few hours after that, Grandpa got it (bad), and yet a few hours after that, Grandma got it (you guessed it, bad!) Evan and I both had the 'hollow stomach' feeling most of the day today, wondering if we were getting sick, but both of us are feeling pretty good now. Fingers crossed we escaped it! I stayed home with the boys today and they were fine all day long. They ate, drank, slept, and played normal. They should go back to Jill's daycare tomorrow, provided everyone has a good night! Thanks Mom and Dad for helping us out this this miserable virus - you truly took one for the team!

More Jewelry

Today I managed to sneak in time for 3 new necklaces and a keychain. I really love the freshwater pearl look! What do you think???

My first keychain...kind of fun!!!

Ice Fishing - The Real Deal

Remember a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that Ryan wanted to go ice fishing, but instead we substituted? Well, he was able to do the real deal with Grandpa last weekend. They went out on Lake 11 and caught several fish. The first day, he fell through the hole and was soaking wet. The second day he managed to stay dry... He is so proud of the fish he catches and loves to eat them! Just wait, Grandpa, you will have 3 fishing buddies in a couple of years!

Burner

I broke my CD drive on my pc a few weeks ago in the midst of my burning project and had it replaced. I look at the pile of CDs and DVDs I need to burn and I wonder...is anyone jealous of this massive pile of work that awaits me? Ha! This will take me f.o.r.e.v.e.r to burn all of these movies and pictures. My project: make three copies of all home videos and photo CDs, one for each of the boys. It will take a while, but I hope when they are older, they appreciate them!

Blackberry

After years with a {company issued} Blackberry that was as old as the hills (I think it was one of the first models that ever came out), Evan finally got a new Blackberry Curve last week. It is a pretty sweet phone and of course, first thing I did is make sure he had wall paper of his kids in the background... Enjoy joining the rest of us in the year 2010, Ev!

What is this?

What could this be? Is it the SUN? It is! We haven't seen much of the sun in the past days/weeks, so when it comes out, it feels wonderful. Somehow, it felt 'spring-like' this morning and the temps hadn't reached 30*. I went to the mailbox in my garage-sandals and a t-shirt. While I wouldn't recommend this for a long period of time, it felt downright warm with the sunshine. I saw shadows I haven't seen in ages and even my driveway that's been mostly hidden until the past couple of days. I love, love, love the sunshine and warmer temps. I am dreaming of sunshine and 80* to be exact, but I'll take 30* anyday in January! :)

Children's Museum

Today we ventured down to the Children's Museum - one of the boys' favorite destinations! We had a great time - by the end of the day, I realize what an exercise in patience it is to bring 2+ kids by yourself. I didn't lose anyone, so that in itself was a success!
