Up

I bribed the boys with a movie if they were good at the dentist this morning. We saw the new Disney movie Up at the theater. The kids had so much fun and even watched the movie! I went in there not quite sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by them. We had a great time!

Carter's First Dentist Visit

Carter had his first dental exam today with Dr. Mielke. He did a great job - sat still through the exam by both the hygienist and the dentist. Ryan also had his appointment today. He was a little antsy in the beginning but then I finally left the exam, cleaning, and fluoride treatment and he made it through the appointment. Here I was thinking it was going to be Carter giving me grief today! Kids - you can't figure them out, can you?

Future Firefighter

Carter and I had the place to ourselves tonight. The boys were at Kyle's baseball game. I think after his initial sadness of not getting to go along, he enjoyed playing here. It isn't often we get 1:1 time together. We played Legos, dinosaurs, and Playdoh before bed. He loves Ryan's firehat from school and wears it all the time, usually so low you can't see his eyes (and most of the time backwards!) I love his smile!!!

Legos

What is missing in this picture? Ummmm....the kids? Yes, here we are, 2 adults, playing Legos, long after the kids have gone to bed. Why? Have you ever tried to construct an intricate Lego set with 4 small hands "helping" you? It is next to impossible. We spent the better share of 3 hours putting together this Star Wars Lego set for Ryan tonight. Yeah, I'm pretty much hiding it forever for fear of it getting broken (which is sure to happen within 5 minutes of Ryan and Carter fighting over it!)

Lanyard

My niece overheard me saying that I beaded and asked if I would make her a lanyard to put her badge on at work. I came up with one tonight - I hope you like it, Beebster!

Just for Fun

All the jewelry I make is either sold or gifted, so today I made a couple of fun pieces for myself! I love coordinating jewelry to outfits so these will be fun to wear! :)

Happy Birthday, Dad!

We met Mom and Dad today for lunch to celebrate Dad's birthday. The kids were SO excited to see "Pa" and "Grandma", as Carter calls them. They were squirelly all through lunch (even more than usual!) I hope you had a great birthday, Dad - we love you!!!! :)
