Firemen Visit School

The local firefighters visited Ryan's Preschool this week. I was fortunate enough to be volunteering that day - it was so much fun to see it through the kids' eyes! They talked about staying safe and played the "tool or toy" game. They dressed Mrs. Loftus up as a fireman and showed the kids exactly what a firefighter would look like in full gear. They also stressed having a safe spot to go in case of a fire (meet by the mailbox, etc.) What a great presentation! To top it off - the kids were able to get inside the firetruck and learn about the hoses and equipment on the trucks. They loved it!
