Streets of Amsterdam

Amsterdam was an amazing city to walk through. And walk we did...about 10 hours most days. The architecture is incredible. The city dates back to the 1500s and some of the buildings in the city are from that time period.

We had to bundle up to head outside - I don't think the high was much above 40* the entire week we were there!

Steeple just outside our hotel:

Crane on the street that Evan wanted a photo of:

Small square outside the Irish Pub where we ate lunch:

Banana Bicycle:

Our tram, #25 - when our legs would ache from walking, we took the tram to and from Dam Square.

Evan resting in the tram:

Bicycle, bicycles, bicycles. There were parking ramps that would only hold bicycles. Up to 12,000 of them per ramp - how on earth would you remember where you parked?

We bought Kyle drumsticks in this little music shop (he recently started drum lessons).

The local shopping mall, like nothing I have ever seen:

The ceiling of the local shopping mall:

Christmas lights were up in the shopping district:

The famous Madame Tussaud Wax Museum:

Row houses...

as far as you could see:

Gorgeous canals. Amsterdam has over 1,400 bridges.

Lots of boat, riverboats, and bicycles:

Hard Rock Cafes are everywhere!

The Paradiso - where it all began!
