It didn't take long - about an hour after sunrise on opening morning, Evan had his big buck, a nice 8 pointer. Ryan was so excited, getting to help him "hunt". He went with Evan to get it out of the woods, but to him, he had "hunted". In true hunting fashion, the first story came out of Ryan's mouth as a 15" inside spread on the antlers (which was accurate), the next story, they were 20". Are they born with that? Even Carter was fascinated, petting the deer, telling Evan the deer was "nigh-nigh".
